Behind the Scenes- Twin Cities Live Segment

On Wednesday, I was back at the Twin Cities Live studios in St. Paul to appear in a beauty segment.  I pulled together three of my favorite holiday party looks - and the products essential to creating them.  Plus, I also brought my favorite "morning after" products, that I rely on to help my skin recover from festive makeup (and egg nog!).

I was joined by three of my good friends - Jackie, Andrea and Emma.  I always like to use women that I know in my beauty segments, as opposed to professional models, because it's important for TV viewers to see what my recommendations look like on relatable women.  Also...it's way more fun backstage to hang out with friends!

There was no studio audience on Wednesday, so we hung out in the studio watching John and Elizabeth during the segments before ours.

I met Antigone, the owner of one of Minneapolis's best cafe's (Kafe 421) during the TCL regulars' lunch a couple weeks ago.  It was nice to see her, again!  She made the most amazing-smelling tomato soup during her segment.

I wore one of my favorite party dresses - from Talbots - plus a big, clunky gold medallion necklace from Forever 21.  The necklace almost caused problems with my microphone...but Popps, the sound technician, is an ace with noisy jewelry.

Special thank you to Terrace Hair Neon Beach for making my hair look so great.  Seriously, my color would be a mess and I'd probably have tried to cut my own bangs (again!) if not for Terrace Hair.  Located in Uptown, on Hennepin Avenue.
