This is only the slightest of exaggerations. Miniscule exaggeration, really. My head of hair only responds to a strong cocktail of products and heat styling. In addition to generally unruliness, my hair has also been dryer than usual as of late. And don't get me started on my roots. They are overdue. We'll leave it at that.
So when the fabulous Nick Chavez sent me a smattering of products from his Ultra-Shine Honey-Peppermint line, I crossed my fingers and hoped they'd revitalize my sad hair. The proof is in the pictures:

The top two pictures show what my hair looks like after washing with the Ultra Shine Honey-Peppermint Shampoo, conditioning with Ultra Shine Honey-Peppermint Conditioner, and applying a quarter-size dollop of Honey Glaze Styling Gel. I was floored by how soft and un-poufy my hair was, even before finishing off the style with a curling iron. The pictures on the bottom row show the final look - note the extreme shine!
This trio of products has several things going for it:
1.) The smell is divine. A not-too-sweet touch of honey, mixed with invigorating peppermint, I can't get enough. My shower is suddenly an exclusive spa. So good.
2.) The products are all very light weight. No weighing down of the hairshaft here. Just bouncy, happy locks that are super shiny.
3.) Speaking of - the shine! These products actually do what they say. How refreshing.
I was gifted this set of Ultra Shine products, but I'll repurchase once I run out. Nick Chavez products can be purchased directly from his web site or on QVC. You know how much I love QVC, so that's probably where I'll buy. I'm sure by the time I need more Ultra Shine, it'll be time to replenish my supply of Flocker.
